Generac PWRgenerator
Generac PWRgenerator brings true independence from electric utilities. The DC coupled generator automatically charges Generac PWRcell batteries whenever the battery level discharges to 30 percent capacity. The Power Cell Generator connects directly to the PWRcell Inverter.
PWRcell is a battery storage or solar + battery storage system that supplies the main circuit breaker panel with power. The Smart Grid Ready system can sell excess power back to the grid.
Typically, a PWRzone connected Photovoltaic Array (solar panels) supplies the inverter which sends AC power to the main circuit breaker panel while charging the batteries. At night, or on days when the sun can’t provide full power, the batteries discharge to power the house. If they reach 30 percent charge, PWRgenerator starts and charges the batteries. Charge time takes about 1 hour.
PWRgenerator is smart grid ready, ready to work as a virtual power plant. Customers taking part in a VPP program can sell power back to the grid to offset their energy costs. PWRview, Generac’s Home Energy Monitoring System, includes PWRgenerator in the energy production view.
PWRgenerator
PWRgenerator reduces or eliminates reliance on the electrical grid. Generac designed the special purpose generator to run frequently with a long maintenance interval. It runs efficiently on either LP Propane or Natural Gas to produce up to 9000 watts of DC Power.
